Buzzing in the trees

is gone forever

to man-made eternity.

How much are

linden flowers missing

bees in their

honeyed weight.

I just want to ask

why man hates old trees

and don’t understand?

The old stumps stories

from centuries ago

are a new possibility.

Meet an old tree

and listen to the past

- see where you are going.

Dying trees are not

just boring numbers,

but a picture of your future.

Reckless man is left

finally alone just a broken

saw handle in his hand.

The eternity of a tree is not 

the same as that of a man, 

and in the end, 

everyone’s life 

is unfinished.
